“Directed by Andrew Jefferies (also a founder of Sentinel Theatre), this cast brought energy and heart to this production. I was very impressed by the stunning visuals created on the stage…This production – to be honest – blew me away. It had heart, it was executed extremely well, and I left excited to come back. Go see this show, and while you are there stop by the themed concessions. It truly was a great night out to the theatre, and I look forward to everything Sentinel Theatre adds to the Utah County theatre community in the future.”

As the inaugural production of the theater company I co-founded, Dogfight made a statement to our community about the goodness we miss out on when we refuse to engage with any stories that contain dark themes or mature content.
“As a standout director in the Utah Valley area, Andrew Jefferies understands this piece deeply. Although some scenes were undoubtedly difficult to navigate, Jefferies led the team with grace and class. As he shared in his director’s note, Jefferies is always questioning the world around him. He shared, ‘What incredible stories and uplifting messages are we missing out on when we choose to dismiss them because of language or sensitive subject material?’ Through this show, I found the answer. We are missing humanity, love, triumph and, most importantly, empathy. Dogfight is a brilliant tribute to the human ability to connect and empathize with one another. When the show reached its conclusion, I found my jaw on the floor and immediately rose to my feet. It is rare to find a production like this, and we, as a theater-going audience, cannot let it go unnoticed. Dogfight is the kind of show that rarely comes around. It is packed with a talented cast, important messages and heartfelt moments. This is a show that must be seen to be believed.” Read full review here.
